Our programs are specifically designed to improve the communication effectiveness of overseas born professionals, as well as to maximise their contribution within their chosen industry.
PROTALK programs have nothing to do with prescribed courses, online learning or large classes, and everything to do with meaningful, one-on-one or small group sessions, specifically tailored to the individual and the workplace. Who are we?
PROTALK trainers are highly skilled educators, with broad experience working with professionals using English as a second language.
At PROTALK we understand how difficult it is to operate in a language and culture other than one’s own.
Our programs are designed to reduce confusion and anxiety by providing an insight into the rules and patterns appropriate to the Australian professional workplace. As Australian born English speakers our staff provide expert coaching in all aspects of spoken and written Business English.
How do we package our learning?
Individually! PROTALK designs courses to respond specifically to the learner’s individual aptitude and background.
PROTALK programs are created following comprehensive initial testing, discussion and analysis. Each program has the capacity to unfold and adjust fluidly as the learner progresses. Our dynamic and interactive sessions are completely learner driven, and are always authentic and workplace specific in content.
Our package includes regular email interaction and support for the duration of the course. If appropriate, business emails forwarded to the trainer are then returned promptly with edits and pointers. This email exchange also enables the course to be monitored within the context of the participant’s workplace.

Specifically, PROTALK’S courses are designed to develop the insights, skills and strategies needed to enable a fuller understanding of the Australian workplace culture. We provide the cultural context to enable non-native speakers to know what to say and how to say it, what to do and how to do it.

Course Format
‘Bespoke’ courses
PROTALK courses are tailored to fit the needs of each client. As a consequence, the duration and format of each program are developed individually, in consultation with the client.
Our experience proves that the most effective approach is one-on-one. Generally, we recommend a six week program, with one 90 minute session each week, held within your workplace. Small group sessions are also part of our offering.

Our Courses
PROTALK programs have nothing to do with prescribed courses, online learning or large classes, and everything to do with meaningful, small group or one-on-one sessions.
Our weekly sessions are of 90 minutes duration, and are held in our office, located 7 minutes by tram from Flinders St Station.
A program runs for a minimum of 4 weeks. We also offer the option of longer programs, or one-on-one personalised coaching sessions, as required.
